PulseBreath Phone is local-first wellness and research software for breathing guidance. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, or emergency guidance.
What the app does not do
- No user accounts or developer cloud backend in the current scope.
- No analytics, ads, crash-reporting, or Health Connect writes in the current dependency set.
- Android backup for app data is disabled (
allowBackup=false).
Data processed on your device
- Guidance preferences (for example duration, cues, language, thresholds) in private app storage.
- Bounded session history (up to 200 entries): start time, duration, end reason, cue mode, quality summary, and fallback summary. You can delete one entry or clear all history in the app.
- When linked to a compatible pulse oximeter over Bluetooth: live SpO₂, pulse rate, and related on-device metrics used for guidance and optional research views. Raw PPG/pleth samples, full IBI/BPM streams, BLE traces, and device MAC addresses are not stored in session history.
- Optional session CSV logging to app-private storage if you enable it. Sharing a file uses the system share sheet and only happens when you choose a destination.
Permissions
- Vibrate — session haptics.
- Camera / torch — optional light cue channel (not a social camera product).
- Bluetooth (and, on older Android, related location permission for legacy BLE scan) — live link to an oximeter. Nearby devices / Bluetooth scan-connect on newer Android.
When data leaves the device
- The app does not upload sessions, vitals, or analytics to a Prylski backend in the current scope.
- Data leaves the phone only if you explicitly share a file via Android share targets you choose, or through mechanisms outside the app’s control after you export a copy.
- Bluetooth communication is between the phone and the paired oximeter, not cloud sync.
Retention and deletion
History stays on the device until you delete it or uninstall the app (which removes app-private data). Copies you shared elsewhere are outside app control.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13. Do not use it to collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app’s data practices change. The date at the top will be revised when that happens.
